Trump Administration Encourages Banks to Test Anthropic's AI Model Despite Legal Dispute
Officials from the Trump administration, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, have reportedly encouraged major banks to test Anthropic's new AI model, Mythos. This development is surprising given the ongoing legal battle between Anthropic and the administration over the Department of Defense's designation of the company as a supply-chain risk. Despite this, banks such as JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley are testing the model, which is noted for its ability to detect security vulnerabilities.
