Severe Weather Forces 22 Planes to Divert from Denver to Colorado Springs, Injuring Five
Severe weather conditions in Denver, Colorado, led to the diversion of 22 aircraft to Colorado Springs on Monday night. The Colorado Springs Airport reported that the diversions were due to a cold front moving through the Denver area, causing gusty winds and shifts in wind direction. Five passengers from different planes required medical assistance due to turbulence, with one transported to a local hospital in stable condition. United Airlines confirmed that 12 of its mainline jets were among the diverted planes, although no injuries were reported on their flights.
