Delta Flights Involved in Near Miss at Atlanta Airport, FAA Investigates
A near miss occurred at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport involving two Delta Air Lines flights. A Rochester-bound flight crossed in front of a Pittsburgh-originating flight that was attempting to land. The arriving flight had aborted an earlier landing due to another aircraft on the runway, leading to the close encounter during its go-around. Air traffic control audio captured the tense moments, with warning systems sounding in the cockpit. No injuries were reported, and both flights landed safely. The FAA is investigating the incident.
