United Airlines Flight Diverted to Boston Due to Windshield Damage
A United Airlines flight from Dulles International Airport to Munich was diverted to Boston after sustaining damage to the outer layer of its multilayered windshield. The incident occurred on Monday night, and the aircraft, a Boeing 787-8, was carrying 175 passengers and 11 crew members. United Flight 108 landed safely in Boston, where the damage was assessed. The flight was subsequently canceled, and the airline arranged alternate travel for the affected passengers. United Airlines assured that the aircraft's windshields are designed with multiple layers to ensure safety even if one layer is compromised. The airline is providing hotels, meal vouchers, and compensation to the passengers affected by the diversion.
