EU Approves €500M Luxembourg Cleantech Manufacturing Scheme to Boost Green Economy
The European Commission has approved a €500 million state aid scheme for Luxembourg aimed at expanding clean technology manufacturing. This initiative is part of the EU's Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework, designed to accelerate industrial decarbonization. The funding will support the production of solar equipment, wind technologies, heat pumps, and battery technologies, as well as the recovery of critical raw materials. The scheme, running until 2030, aligns with the EU's broader climate goals and offers investment opportunities in cleantech supply chains.
