President Trump to Headline Great American State Fair Amid Concert Lineup Changes
The Great American State Fair, initially planned as a 16-day concert-heavy event, has undergone significant changes after several artists withdrew from the lineup. President Donald Trump is now set to headline the event with a major speech. Despite the changes, the fair will continue with its broader Freedom 250 events across Washington, D.C., celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence. The fair will feature daily themed programming, exhibits, and nationwide celebrations. The Freedom 250 initiative, a government-backed program, coordinates these events separately from America250, a congressionally created nonprofit overseeing the official semiquincentennial observance. The fair's opening ceremony will now focus on Trump's speech, with performances by Lee Greenwood and Christopher Macchio, and musical support from the U.S. Army Band, the U.S. Marine Band, and the Joint Armed Forces Chorus.
