Nitinotes Completes First Study Procedures at Orlando Health in EASE IDE Trial for Obesity Treatment
Nitinotes Ltd., a medical device company, has announced the completion of the first study procedures at Orlando Health as part of its pivotal U.S. EASE IDE trial. This trial is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of the EndoZip Automated Suturing System for Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), a minimally invasive procedure aimed at treating obesity. The procedures were conducted by Dr. Andre F. Teixeira and Dr. Manoel Galvao Neto, both prominent figures in bariatric surgery and endoscopic obesity care. The trial is designed to support a future U.S. FDA marketing submission. EndoZip, which has already received CE Mark approval in Europe, aims to simplify and standardize ESG, making it more accessible to physicians with varying levels of experience.
