He was a notable member of the Fannindel Falcons, contributing to their state semifinal football team in 1988 and state champion basketball team in 1989. Connell served in the Texas Air National Guard and held various careers, including craftsman, welder, and auctioneer. His journey led him to become an ordained minister, founding the Heart of Texas Cowboy Church, which grew into a thriving ministry. Connell's life was marked by his dedication to his family and community, and his work in the church and missionary activities. He is survived by his wife, Tami, and children, among other family members.
