Army Organizes Industry Day for High-Performance Computing Contract Recompete
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is organizing an industry day to discuss the next iteration of a high-performance computing support services contract, known as the High Performance Modernization Computing Program–Unrestricted 3 (HITS-UIII). This event is scheduled for June 24 and June 25, with registration closing on June 10. The current contract, held by BAE Systems' U.S. subsidiary, supports the Department of Defense's (DOD) supercomputing systems, which are crucial for various science, technology, research, and development missions. The existing contract, awarded in June 2022, has a ceiling of $786 million, with $347 million already obligated. The new contract aims to enhance the user experience across DOD's Supercomputing Resource Centers while maintaining some autonomy for each military branch.
