Giants Kicker's Missed Field Goal Leads to Life-Saving Discovery for Kentucky Man
Mark Toothaker, a resident of Lexington, Kentucky, experienced a life-changing event while watching a New York Giants game. During the game, Giants kicker Younghoe Koo missed a field goal, causing Toothaker to laugh so hard that he had a seizure. His wife, Malory, a nurse, quickly called 911. A subsequent CT scan revealed a tennis-ball-sized tumor on Toothaker's brain, which was successfully removed and found to be benign. Toothaker credits the missed kick for saving his life, as the seizure led to the discovery of the tumor. He is now recovering well and plans to attend the Kentucky Derby.
