Ondo State Police Arrest Woman for Alleged ₦42.3 Million Visa Scam
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Adejoke Ayomide, a 33-year-old woman, for allegedly defrauding over 90 individuals of more than ₦42.3 million. Ayomide is accused of posing as a travel consultant and promising to secure visas to European countries such as Spain, Portugal, and France. Victims reportedly paid various sums into her bank account for visa processing, but Ayomide became unreachable after receiving the funds. The arrest followed a petition by a law firm representing the victims, leading to a police investigation.
