MontanaFair Introduces Electronic Ticketing System for Rides, Enhancing Visitor Experience
MontanaFair at MetraPark in Billings is implementing a new electronic ticketing system for rides, allowing visitors to use their phones or self-serve kiosks instead of traditional paper tickets. The system, named Fun Tagg, enables visitors to purchase credits for rides via kiosks or an app. Wristbands offering unlimited rides for a day or cards loaded with credits can be bought at eight kiosk locations within the fairgrounds. The $12 admission fee remains unchanged, and food and games are handled separately from the ride credit system. Katherine Petree, co-owner of Thomas Carnival, stated that the system aims to improve efficiency while maintaining the fair's traditional experience. The system also provides data on ride popularity, helping organizers understand visitor preferences.
