The American Water Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with New Jersey American Water, has announced the recipients of the 2026 Water and Environment grants. A total of 10 New Jersey-based organizations have been awarded a combined $179,404 to support various environmental projects. These initiatives focus on water protection, education, and environmental resilience across the state. The grants are part of the Foundation's Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, which emphasizes water, people, and community support. Notable projects include the Musconetcong Watershed Association's study on PFAS in groundwater, Camden's Charter School Network's floating wetland construction, and the Great Swamp Watershed Association's rain garden installation. These efforts aim to enhance water quality, promote environmental education, and support habitat restoration.
