Sabrina Carpenter Secures Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker Following Safety Concerns
Sabrina Carpenter, a pop star, has been granted a temporary restraining order against William Applegate, a man she claims has been stalking her and attempted to enter her California home. The Los Angeles County Court issued the order to keep Applegate at least 100 yards away from Carpenter's Hollywood Hills residence, which she shares with her sister and her sister's partner. Carpenter filed the civil harassment restraining order after Applegate allegedly tried to force open her front door on May 23, an incident captured by a Ring camera. Despite being confronted by a security guard and law enforcement, Applegate refused to leave, claiming Carpenter was expecting him, a statement described as false in court documents. Applegate was arrested for trespassing but returned to the neighborhood two days later. Carpenter expressed fear for her safety due to Applegate's actions, which have caused her severe emotional distress.
