Dominica provides a 'Work In Nature' (WIN) visa, designed for remote workers whose income originates from outside the island. This visa allows individuals to reside and work remotely in Dominica for up to 18 months. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate an income of US$50,000 for the upcoming year or prove sufficient financial means to support themselves. The WIN visa costs US$800 for an individual and US$1,200 for a family. A crucial condition of this visa is that holders are explicitly prohibited from working for local employers or serving local customers in Dominica. For U.S. citizens, it's important to note that they can stay in Dominica for up to six months without any visa; a permit is only required if they intend to be paid while on the island. Dominica also offers a traditional work visa for foreign nationals filling employment gaps in specific industries, which is employer-tied, valid for one year, and renewable.
