Fields Medals Awarded to Four Leading Mathematicians at ICM 2026
The International Mathematical Union has awarded the 2026 Fields Medals to four distinguished mathematicians during the International Congress of Mathematicians in Philadelphia. The recipients are Yu Deng, John Pardon, Jacob Tsimerman, and Hong Wang, recognized for their exceptional contributions to mathematics. The Fields Medal, often referred to as the Nobel Prize of mathematics, is awarded every four years to mathematicians under 40 who have made significant achievements and show promise for future contributions.
