Mexico Leads North America in Travel Tourism Growth Amid Global Economic Shifts
According to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Mexico has emerged as the leading performer in North America's travel and tourism sector for 2025. The country outpaced the United States and Canada in key metrics such as Travel & Tourism GDP growth, international visitor spending, and arrivals. Mexico's Travel & Tourism GDP grew by 1.8%, while international visitor spending increased by 3.5%. In contrast, the United States and Canada saw declines in spending and arrivals. The WTTC forecasts that the upcoming FIFA World Cup will further boost tourism growth across North America, with significant opportunities for enhanced connectivity and visitor experiences.
