Flood Alerts Issued for U.S. Coastal Areas
Multiple flood-related advisories have been issued across various U.S. coastal regions, including San Diego County, Orange County, Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast, Los Angeles County Beaches, and Duval County in Florida. These advisories include Beach Hazards Statements, Coastal Flood Advisories, and High Rip Current Risk warnings. Elevated surf, dangerous rip currents, and minor to moderate coastal flooding are expected in these areas. Rainfall accumulation of 3 to 7 inches has been reported in northeastern Florida, with additional rainfall of up to 2 inches possible. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and urban areas is ongoing or imminent in affected regions. The advisories are in effect through various times, with some lasting until late Saturday night.
