U.S. Military to Reimplement Disease Screening for Troops Arriving in South Korea
U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) have signed an agreement to reinstate infectious disease screenings for U.S. troops arriving on the Korean Peninsula. This system was previously suspended after the COVID-19 pandemic. The agreement, signed on August 13, aims to resume screenings at seven U.S. military-related locations, including Osan Air Base, Camp Humphreys, and airports at Kunsan, Daegu, Gimhae, Gwangju, and Suwon.
