Community Leaders and Families Hold Healing Ceremony Before Montbello Recreation Center Reopening
In Denver, more than 50 community leaders and families gathered for a healing ceremony on Sunday to support the family of 14-year-old Nasir Payne. This event was held in anticipation of the reopening of the Montbello Recreation Center, which was the site of a deadly shooting. The ceremony aimed to acknowledge the pain and trauma left by the incident and to foster a sense of community healing. The gathering served as a platform for community members to come together, share their grief, and support each other in the wake of the tragedy.
