Sonex Health's Study Validates Ultrasound-Guided Carpal Tunnel Release
Sonex Health has announced results from the largest-ever U.S. study on ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (UGCTR), demonstrating its safety and efficacy. The study, published in the Journal of Hand Surgery Global Online, involved 887 patients and 1,082 hands treated across 22 sites. The findings show rapid improvement in symptoms and high patient satisfaction, with a median recovery time of three days. UGCTR allows for simultaneous treatment of both hands and is performed using local anesthesia, reducing recovery time and healthcare costs. The study aims to compare UGCTR with other procedural approaches like endoscopic and open carpal tunnel release.
