Youth Futures Program Provides Comprehensive Support for At-Risk Children in Israel
Youth Futures, a program operating in approximately 60 local authorities across Israel, is designed to support children at risk through a unique 360-degree model. The initiative is funded by a public-philanthropic partnership, with 60% of its budget coming from public partners such as the Department for Education of Children and Youth at Risk, local authorities, and other governmental bodies. The remaining funding is sourced from philanthropic donations. The program employs around 400 specially trained personnel, known as Mentors, who provide continuous support to children for three consecutive years. These Mentors build personalized support networks around each child, maintaining relationships with parents, teachers, social workers, therapists, and other significant adults in the child's life. The goal is to create a coordinated support system that enables children to thrive and prevents further deterioration.
