SBA Offers Disaster Loans to Nebraska Nonprofits Affected by May Storms
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans for private nonprofit and faith-based organizations in Nebraska affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding from May 15-18, 2026. This initiative follows a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration, providing Public Assistance to organizations in several counties, including Buffalo, Fillmore, and Gage. Eligible organizations can apply for physical disaster loans to repair damaged real estate and assets, as well as Economic Injury Disaster Loans to cover operating expenses. The loans offer flexible terms up to 30 years, with interest rates as low as 3.625%, and no interest or payments required for the first 12 months.
