England's national soccer team, led by coach Thomas Tuchel, is gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The team is set to begin a preparation camp in Miami, Florida, starting June 1, 2026, to acclimate to the challenging weather conditions expected during the tournament. Tuchel acknowledged that the squad is not accustomed to the high heat, humidity, and potential altitude they may encounter, particularly in Mexico. To address these challenges, the Football Association has been preparing for over a year, employing advanced techniques such as digital capsules to monitor players' internal temperatures and training in heated tents to simulate tournament conditions. England's first match is scheduled against Croatia on June 17 in Arlington, Texas, where the game will be played indoors with air conditioning.
