Jonathan H. Whiteson Appointed Chair of NYU Langone Health's Rusk Rehabilitation, Aiming to Expand Services
Jonathan H. Whiteson, MD, has been appointed as the chair of Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Whiteson, a recognized leader in physical medicine and rehabilitation, has been part of the NYU Langone faculty since 1999. As chair, he plans to maintain high standards of rehabilitation care while expanding services across NYU Langone. His focus includes growing Rusk Rehabilitation's presence in oncology rehabilitation, frailty prevention, and healthy aging. Additionally, he aims to integrate emerging technologies such as AI and remote patient monitoring to improve access and outcomes. Dr. Whiteson succeeds Steven R. Flanagan, MD, under whose leadership Rusk Rehabilitation became one of the largest programs in the country, serving over 550,000 outpatients annually.
