The competition, named 'Boundless San Francisco,' is managed by their private family foundation, Crankstart. It aims to address the city's housing affordability crisis and economic challenges post-pandemic. Organizations worldwide can submit proposals, with winners receiving between $10 million and $50 million to implement their ideas. The competition will follow a structured evaluation process, including peer reviews and development grants, with winners announced in autumn 2027.
