Westminster Council Deliberates on Making Banksy Statue Permanent in London
A statue by the renowned street artist Banksy, unveiled in central London, is currently under consideration by the Westminster City Council for permanent installation. The artwork, which depicts a suited man with a large flag obscuring his face, has become a significant attraction since its installation. Banksy confirmed his authorship of the piece via an Instagram post, sharing footage of its nighttime installation. The council has yet to make a final decision, but the statue will remain on display at Waterloo Place in the St James's neighborhood for the next few weeks. This area is known for its proximity to government buildings and luxury businesses.
