Denver Processing Plant Workers Authorize Strike Amid Labor Disputes
On Friday, union workers at the Denver Processing beef and pork plant voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike, with 97% in favor. This decision comes as part of ongoing labor disputes concerning working conditions and contract negotiations. The workers, represented by their union, are pushing for better terms in their employment contracts, which have been a point of contention with the plant management. The authorization of a strike does not necessarily mean a strike will occur immediately, but it gives the union the power to call one if negotiations do not progress satisfactorily.
