Photo London Relocates to Olympia, Boosting Sales and Visibility
Photo London, a prominent photography fair, has relocated from Somerset House to Olympia in West Kensington, London. The move has been well-received by exhibitors and visitors, as the new venue offers a more navigable and business-friendly environment. The fair, which runs until May 17, has already seen significant sales, including a £100,000 purchase of works by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang. The relocation aims to address previous complaints about the difficulty of navigating Somerset House's complex layout. The new venue is part of a broader £1.3 billion refurbishment of Olympia's exhibition halls, expected to continue into 2027. The fair has also introduced a new initiative, 'Source,' to encourage solo artist booths, enhancing the focus on individual artists' work.
