This tiny chip, approximately the size of a grain of rice, produces a series of precisely spaced light frequencies that can be converted into multiple high-frequency electromagnetic signals, known as millimeter waves. Millimeter waves are crucial for future communication networks due to their potential for significantly increased bandwidth.
