Tomra Mining's Sensor-Based Sorting Enhances Mineral Processing in Colombia
Soma Gold Corp is advancing its mineral processing strategy at its El Bagre operation in Colombia using Tomra Mining's sensor-based sorting technology. This technology combines X-Ray Transmission (XRT) with advanced AI to improve process efficiency and material value. By removing non-valuable material early, the company can better manage feed consistency and reduce processing loads. The technology has shown positive results in test programs, leading to the installation of a COM Tertiary XRT 1200 sorter to enhance operations.
