Saudia Expands Fleet with 12 New Aircraft to Enhance Capacity
Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced plans to expand its fleet by acquiring 12 new aircraft by the end of 2026. This expansion will increase the airline's total fleet to 161 aircraft. The new additions include Airbus A321neos, and the airline recently became the first in the Middle East and Africa to operate the Airbus A321XLR, a new extra-long-range, single-aisle aircraft. Saudia's Group Director General, Ibrahim Al-Omar, emphasized that this expansion is part of a strategic approach to enhance operational readiness and align with Saudi Vision 2030. The airline is also investing in workforce development, training new pilots, cabin crew, and maintenance specialists to support the fleet expansion.
