HDF Launches Sadaqah+ Round-Up Giving Program to Facilitate Charitable Contributions
The Human Development Fund (HDF) has introduced Sadaqah+, a new round-up giving platform designed to convert small, everyday purchase differences into regular charitable donations. This initiative allows individuals to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the accumulated cents being directed to HDF programs. Users can securely link their bank accounts through Stripe Financial Connections, which provides the transaction data needed to calculate the round-ups. The platform then collects these small amounts and charges the accumulated donation according to a user-selected schedule, providing a receipt for the gift. Donors have the flexibility to choose specific causes for their contributions, such as emergency relief, Gaza assistance, Sudan relief, hot meals, orphan care, clean water, medical aid, and education.
