Turkish Radio and Television Corporation Secures Exclusive Rights for FIFA World Cup 2026 Broadcasts in Türkiye
The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) has obtained exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Türkiye. TRT will provide comprehensive live coverage of the tournament across its free-to-air channels, TRT 1 and TRT Spor. This includes all matches involving the Turkish national team, known as the Crescent-Stars, as well as the World Cup Final. The coverage will be accessible without a paid subscription via standard satellite or digital terrestrial television. Additionally, TRT will offer digital streaming options through its platforms, Tabii and TRT İzle, allowing viewers to watch live matches, highlights, and expert analysis on various devices. This move ensures that Turkish audiences can enjoy the World Cup without geographical restrictions, as viewers abroad can use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access the broadcasts.
