Wyoming Department of Transportation Announces Multiple Roadwork Projects on Interstate 80 Near Cheyenne
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced several ongoing and upcoming roadwork projects along Interstate 80 (I-80) in and around Cheyenne. These projects include asphalt pavement and bridge replacement between Exit 240 and Exit 247 near Elk Mountain, with the right lane closed. Further west, between Creston Jct. and Rawlins (MP 199-211), milling and overlay work involving asphalt paving, aggregate surfacing, grading, and traffic control is causing 10-minute delays. Near Patrick Draw (MP 141-155), projects include milling, paving, bridge rehabilitation, and rest area surfacing, with a construction zone speed limit of 65 MPH. Additionally, both eastbound and westbound lanes near Lyman (MP 28.03-34.29) are undergoing mill, overlay, and structure work, which is expected to cause delays. Eastbound I-80 near Evanston (MP 4-6) has the left lane closed for bridge deck replacement.
