J Law Donates Children's Book 'Different Is Still Us' to Shriners Children’s Southern California
J&Y Law, a personal injury firm, has donated 100 copies of its children's book, 'Different Is Still Us,' to Shriners Children’s Southern California in Pasadena. The book, co-authored by J&Y Law co-founders Jason Javaheri and Yosi Yahoudai and illustrated by Dan Moyer, aims to help children cope with significant family changes, particularly when a parent experiences a serious injury. The story follows a young lion whose father is injured and finds new ways to maintain their relationship despite physical limitations. This initiative was facilitated by Booksustain, a Los Angeles nonprofit focused on literacy, which connected J&Y Law with Shriners Children’s. Shriners Children’s Southern California provides specialized pediatric care for various conditions, including orthopedic issues, burn scars, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of a family's ability to pay.
