Union Pacific's Big Boy Locomotive Begins Historic Coast-to-Coast Tour
Union Pacific's Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive has embarked on its first coast-to-coast tour to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. The tour began with a ceremony in Sacramento, California, at the historic site of the first transcontinental railroad. The locomotive will travel across 14 states, including a stop in Philadelphia for the Fourth of July, before concluding in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The tour aims to honor the historical significance of the transcontinental railroad and its impact on U.S. economic growth.
