East Coast Braces for Soggy Memorial Day Weekend
Millions of Americans could see their Memorial Day weekend plans disrupted as widespread rain and thunderstorms target the East Coast, Southeast and Gulf Coast through Monday. More than 45 million people are expected to travel, but major airports in New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and New Orleans may face delays due to persistent wet weather. Flash flood risks are increasing across parts of Texas and Louisiana as repeated downpours drench the region. Meanwhile, the West Coast is forecast to enjoy warm, sunny and mostly dry conditions throughout the holiday weekend.
