Summit 2.0 Test Influences Clinical Decisions in CNS Cancer Cases
Belay Diagnostics has announced that its Summit 2.0 cerebrospinal fluid liquid biopsy test has significantly influenced clinical decision-making in 86% of cases involving central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. The study, co-authored with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, surveyed 22 clinicians across 17 institutions. The test was found to aid in diagnosis, treatment selection, and prognosis, even when no genetic variants were detected. The Summit 2.0 test provides a non-invasive alternative to traditional tissue biopsies, offering valuable molecular insights from a standard lumbar puncture.
