Rep. Cory Mills Faces Allegations and Challenges in GOP Primary Debate
Rep. Cory Mills, a Republican from Florida, is under scrutiny during the GOP primary debate for Florida’s Seventh Congressional District. Mills faced allegations of 'stolen valor,' a Justice Department investigation, and questions about his religious beliefs. Despite these challenges, Mills denied all accusations, including claims of domestic assault and embellishing his military service. His primary opponent, Ryan Elijah, a former news anchor, has gained endorsements from several Florida Republicans who have expressed a loss of confidence in Mills. Elijah emphasized the importance of not losing the congressional seat to Democrats in the upcoming election. Mills, however, remains defiant, citing endorsements from President Trump and denying any knowledge of an active DOJ investigation.
