ArkBio Completes Phase I Trial Dosing for Long-Acting Influenza Drug AK0406
Shanghai Ark Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (ArkBio) has announced the completion of dosing in a Phase I trial for AK0406, a novel long-acting antiviral-Fc conjugate (AFC) drug designed for influenza prophylaxis. The trial, conducted in Australia, has now entered the follow-up phase. AK0406 aims to provide sustained pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis against influenza A and B, addressing the limitations of current seasonal vaccines. The drug's design involves conjugating potent antiviral agents to an antibody Fc fragment, offering prolonged protection and potential therapeutic benefits.
