GitHub Project Transforms Kindle into WHOOP Dashboard for Health Monitoring
A GitHub project has been developed to repurpose an old Kindle into a low-power WHOOP dashboard. This initiative allows users to view their WHOOP health data on a Kindle Paperwhite, providing a glanceable e-ink display that updates periodically. The project requires a jailbroken Kindle and uses a Node.js service to fetch and render WHOOP data, which includes recovery scores, sleep performance, and other health metrics. The Kindle connects briefly to download and validate images, ensuring WHOOP credentials remain secure on the server. This setup is designed to be low-power, with the Kindle waking only to refresh the display before returning to a low-energy state.
