Penguin Press Acquires Sebastian Mallaby's Book on Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei
Penguin Press has acquired the North American rights to a new, as-yet-untitled book by Sebastian Mallaby, author of 'The Infinity Machine.' The book will focus on Dario Amodei, the CEO of Anthropic, a prominent artificial intelligence company. Scott Moyers at Penguin Press secured the rights from Chris Parris-Lamb of the Gernert Company. The publisher has indicated that the book will be based on 'meaningful first-person access to its subject,' suggesting an in-depth and personal exploration of Amodei's work and vision. The central theme of the book is to use Amodei's story as a 'vehicle through which to explore the most fateful challenge of our age: how to reap the potential good of artificial intelligence while protecting against its potential harm.' A publication date for the book has not yet been announced.
