Balaji Srinivasan Relocates Network School to Kazakhstan After Malaysia Shutdown
Balaji Srinivasan, a former chief technology officer for Coinbase, has relocated his Network School to Kazakhstan following its closure in Malaysia. The school, which operated as a nomadic education community, was shut down by Malaysian authorities due to alleged licensing violations. The controversy began when social media users highlighted the presence of Israeli nationals in the program, which led to a regulatory crackdown. Despite no evidence of travel document violations, the Iskandar Puteri City Council revoked the school's business and advertising licenses, citing breaches in licensing conditions. In response, Srinivasan signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan to establish a new campus, promising expedited visas and recruitment of global talent.
