Vietnam Accelerates Infrastructure Projects for APEC 2027 Summit
Vietnam is expediting the progress of key infrastructure projects in preparation for the APEC 2027 Summit, set to be hosted in Phu Quoc. Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, along with a central government delegation, recently inspected several projects, emphasizing the need for timely completion and adherence to quality and safety standards. While many projects are on schedule, some, particularly in environmental infrastructure and wastewater treatment, are lagging. The Deputy Prime Minister has urged relevant ministries and local authorities to proactively address any obstacles within their jurisdiction and report unresolved issues to higher authorities. This initiative is part of Vietnam's broader strategy to ensure the successful organization of the APEC Summit, which is expected to enhance the country's international standing and economic opportunities.
