Kenya Expands Space Industry with International Partnerships and Technological Collaborations
Kenya is intensifying its efforts to develop its space industry, aiming to play a significant role in Africa's growing space economy. The country is focusing on enhancing its space knowledge and technological skills to improve data collection, scientific research, and national planning. Recently, Kenyan authorities visited Ghalam LLP, a spacecraft development company in Kazakhstan, to learn about advanced spacecraft development and manufacturing. This visit is part of Kenya's broader strategy to form international partnerships and technology collaborations. Additionally, Italy has announced plans to revive its space collaboration with Kenya, including launching Earth observation satellites and establishing a regional training center. These initiatives are expected to accelerate the growth of Kenya's space program, which is based in Malindi, a site with historical significance in satellite and space operations.
