Tampa Emerges as Florida's Top City for Bed Bug Infestations
Tampa, Florida, has been identified as the state's worst city for bed bug infestations, according to a new study by pest control company Orkin. The study ranks cities based on the number of residential and commercial bed bug treatments conducted from May 2025 to May 2026. Tampa is a new entry in the top 50 list, while Miami has dropped six spots to 47th place. The rankings highlight the impact of travel and high turnover in spreading bed bugs, as these pests can easily hitchhike in luggage and personal items. Orkin emphasizes the importance of awareness and prevention, especially during the summer travel season.
