Exhibition Highlights Nisei Soldiers' Contributions During WWII
A new traveling exhibition titled 'I Am An American: The Nisei Soldier Experience' is currently on display at San Francisco's Presidio, highlighting the contributions of Japanese American Nisei soldiers during World War II. The exhibition features firsthand accounts, personal artifacts, and objects that have never been publicly displayed before. It aims to shed light on the valor of these soldiers, whose families were interned during the war. The exhibition is part of a national tour and is accompanied by another exhibition, 'EXCLUSION: The Presidio's Role in World War II Japanese American Incarceration,' providing a comprehensive view of this historical period.
