Russian Drone Strike Damages Nuclear Facility Near Chornobyl, Ukraine Reports
A Russian drone strike has reportedly damaged a nuclear-fuel storage facility near the Chornobyl nuclear plant in Ukraine. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the attack targeted a building used for receiving nuclear fuel, located just meters from where large amounts of nuclear material are stored. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed the damage but reported no increase in radiation levels. The strike, which used a Shahed drone, caused significant structural damage but did not result in any injuries. Russia has not commented on the incident, which is part of ongoing hostilities between the two nations.
