TSA Launches 'Gateside' Program Allowing Non-Ticketed PreCheck Members Beyond Airport Security at 13 Airports
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced a new pilot program called 'Gateside by TSA PreCheck.' This initiative permits eligible non-ticketed individuals who possess TSA PreCheck eligibility through a Known Traveler Number (KTN) to enter the secure areas of 13 participating airports. The program aims to allow PreCheck members to spend more time with friends and family at the airport, whether accompanying departing passengers to their gates, greeting arriving travelers, or utilizing dining and shopping facilities beyond the security checkpoint. Unlike traditional airport access, Gateside enables approved visitors to enter the post-security area without a boarding pass.
